After a defeat at the hands of Genoa, Juventus has one goal: Get back on track to maintain the first spot in the Serie A. Tomorrow night at the Juventus Stadium lies a difficult game against perhaps the most dangerous team right now: Atalanta. Massimiliano Allegri spoke in a press conference ahead of the game:

Atalanta is doing amazing, they’re a team that fields very young players, for that reason I send my compliments to Gasperini and their club. Is it a title deciding match? They’re proving to be worthy of the high parts of the standings, but the only thing that determines the levels of a squad is where they sit on the 28th of May. We’re over the loss against Genoa: time heals all wounds. It’s normal to have some lows throughout the course of a season. Either way we’re cruising right now, results are coming in at the necessary speed to bring us titles. Lets not forget that beside being first in the league, we’re also first in the Champions League”.

Some comments on several individuals of the squad: “Dybala? He did a half training session with the group. He might be called up for tomorrow, but it’s unlikely that he’d play. Wednesday he could be part of the game. Upfront Mandzukic may play with Higuain, they’re getting to know each other really well. Cuadrado has a small issue, he’s fine but I still have to evaluate his condition. Defense? Chiellini is doing ok, Benatia is the right guy to take Bonucci’s place in the center. Marchisio is also doing well, Dybala is recuperating, and Pjaca started running again. Khedira exhausted? He played 25 games the entire season last year, he’s already at 20 now. It’s expected to have some fatigue. Pjanic? He’s fitting well, I’m happy with his output”.

A final note on this years edition of the Serie A: “I like this years league, there aren’t many points between the first seven teams, but the last four are already pretty far behind. This shows that an 18 team league would be ideal. The Serie A still remains one of the best leagues in the world”.
