Inter, Spalletti: "We could not stay concentrated. Losing destroys me."

Inter manager Luciano Spalletti spoke to Sky Sport following his team's 4-1 defeat against Atalanta.

"They played better than we did in the first half. We entered the game with a different behavior after the break, but we weren't able to maintain it. We fell into what our weakness is, something that's existed since even before I came here. We are not able to stay concentrated for a long time. In the first half they could have doubled their lead, but they weren't able to due to some bad luck and for our skill. We were then great to tie the game and we were stronger in some aspects. Then we turned back to being timid and lost too many one-on-ones."

Spalletti continued: "Physical or mental collapse? I don't think so, but a 4-1 result means that we need to stay quiet and give space to any analysis. Do we need a better rotation? We changed 3-4 players, 5 days have passed since the last game, there's been time. The entire league will be like this."

"We were presumptuous? The discussion is that when you win a lot of matches, you get used to it and you think you are given something for the next game, but you don't have the right to any advantage. We need to always start from zero. Disappointed or angry? Losing destroys me...," concluded the Inter manager.
