Interview by Alberto Trovamala
Pogba is the most talked about player at the moment, how could he not be with the sums that are being thrown around and a hypothetical return to Manchester United that has got everyone asking all sorts of questions. Although United could be about to re-sign the player for a world record fee, Pescara’s class of ’93 defender Michele Fornasier who shared a locker room with Pogba at the red devil’s youth academy claims that he was already a phenome when he’d started off at United. This is what the Italian Centre-half had to say: “Paul already knew what he wanted from his career and he knew he would become one of the best in the world. He’s a very proud lad and he was a true phenome on the pitch”.
It’s curious to find out what his former teammate thinks of a possible Pogba return to Old Trafford where they shared unforgettable memories on and off the pitch. Fornasier says that it’s normal to feel nostalgia of Manchester United: “I think that everyone who has been able to play for Manchester United and successively changed clubs, deep down dreams of returning sooner or later… I’m not at all surprised by all of this. If he were to return I would be happy for him, it’s like going back to the house he grew up in”.
