Vincenzo Montella reveled in the aftermath of Fiorentina's thorough 3-1 defeat of Milan away at the San Siro. The ex-rossoneri coach saw his team take apart the home side, and afterwards, Montella reacted to Sky Sport about the result: "It's a great satisfaction beating Milan in front of a stadium with 50,000 people, a grand victory. It's the third time Fiorentina has won here. I have no thought of vengance towards Milan, it's a new team and a new owner. I won a Supercoppa with them and I hold no grudges. I have nothing against MIlan and I thank them for hiring me there.
"Ribery? I removed him because I expected the standing ovation from the stands. You can see he is not the player of 5 years ago but he is always in the match and still was able to be decisive. Ribery was astounding. Now we've found a balance tactic but the plan is to play with a central attacker, we have Boateng, Vlahovic, and Pedro and the project is going in that directon. Today I went with the same formation as last match because it gave me certainty. For the moment we have found balance with two players in front of goal with Chiesa and Ribery."
Montella also had a thought for his own former team: "I feel badly for the Milan supporters and for the players I coached, these things will occur. It's not easy to play in a stadium like San Siro.
