100 days have already passed since Nicolò Zaniolo suffered a knee injury against Juventus. While he still has a long recovery road ahead of him, the coronavirus outbreak has given him a small hope to be able to finish the season with his teammates. Zaniolo spoke on this topic with Sky Sport.
"If there's the opportunity, then I will be happy. Better to have one day extra of recovery than one day less. Every day I improve. My daily life hasn't changed much, but every day I focus on my goals and my knee is responding well. The first days were tiresome, it took effort to speak. I quickly thought about returning to the pitch and I'll follow the advice from doctors.
On his role on the pitch: "I had never played as a right wing, but I fell great there because I'm always in front of the goal and can target a man. I am improving in this role. I like mezzala a lot, I was born there, but also trequartista. There's always been the right feeling with Fonseca, he told me where I needed to improve. He's a fantastic person, he's prepared and tells you what he thinks to your face."
