In life as in football, it is never too late to learn. That is what 31-year old Juan Cuadrado is experiencing right now at Juventus under Maurizio Sarri. The Colombian, who played as a winger for most of his career, has been changed position by the former Chelsea manager, replacing departed Joao Cancelo as right-back.
The excellent performances in the new role persuaded Juventus to open the talks for a contract extension with the Colombian, as the current deal is set to expire in June 2020. The player was today at the club headquarters to discuss a new contract that should run through June 2022, with the option for an additional year.
