Cagliari have reached a deal with PSV for Gaston Pereiro. The Sardinian will sign the Uruguayan playmaker to a four and a half year contract and their is a good chance he arrvies in Italy tomorrow. With this signing, it means that Marko Pjaca will no longer arrive as the parties have decided to no longer move forward.
Cagliari would be receiving an addition to their roster that is a nice physical and quick player that is able to play both as a winger and as a trequartista. In his career in Europe Pereiro has always reached double digits in goals. This season he has only scored two goals so far, however he has only made four appearances.
Pereiro looks set to continue the Uruguayan tradition at Cagliari. They currently have Nandez and Oliva in their squad and in the past have had Francescoli, Fonseca, and O'Neill on the pitch as well as Tabarez and Diego Lopez on the bench.
