Italy U-21 coach Luigi Di Biagio will lead the team to next summer's Euorpean Championship, with the chance of containing within his squad the figures of Nicolò Zaniolo and Moise Kean. In an interview with Sky Sport, Di Biagio presented the idea: "I know both young men well, we've been shown their incredible potential but maybe nobody expected this explosion. Can they participate in the U-21 Euros? I speak with Mancini every day, the question will be resolved in June. I am couting not only on these two, but also on the rest of the players: soon we will learn what happens."
The Azzurini CT had words on each of the players individually: "We know that Kean can do amazing things, I know him better of the two, I've coached him since his U-15: in each group he was always there as one a younger player. Regarding Zaniolo he has incredible gifts. He is a wide midfielder for me, and he is versatile enough that he fits the model of a modern midfielder. He runs, is strong, technical, and skilled, he can play anywhere."
