Rocco Commisso is as happy as a child. Today marks his one year anniversary as Fiorentina president and he had much to stay about the past year. He thanked fans, remembered his first days in the city, and touched on Covid-19.
"Iachini also had the virus, I didn't know it. He has all my support. Will he be confirmed? We must see what happens in the final matches to understand."
On the club's new sporting center: "We lost three months due to the coronavirus, but the work will begin around October 1st. The goal is to finish them toward the 2020-2021 season. In America you don't pay taxes on the stadiums. Without a stadium could I leave Florence? We'll see in the future how the things go. There's also health, age. I cannot leave my family with an unfinished job, due to this I want to get it done quickly. Money isn't a problem, for me a smooth path is enough."
Commisso has a lot of disappointment, as he was hoping to do everything much quicker than it's happening: "It's been talked about for years, but I understood that the city still isn't ready. For me, the fans come first. Presidents, management, players leave, but they stay. They cannot get water and at times the bathrooms were not working."
On the market: "Belotti, Nainggolan or Piatek? We made great investments also in January."
