Chelsea squandered an important opportunity last night when they drew Burnley 2-2 at Stamford Bridge, the result complicated their pursuit of the final Champions League spot in the Premier League. The match also saw Maurizio Sarri expulsion in the final minutes of the match because of the manager’s protest following a yellow card given to Kovacic.
The former Napoli manager sent his assistant Gianfranco Zola to speak to the media following the match:”Maurizio is very frustrated over what happened, adrenaline took over and he said somethings he doesn’t believe. He was disappointed with some referee decisions, but he told the players to carry on. The referee misunderstood him, he was just wanted to calm the players”.
