From the Under 15 all the way to the senior squad, Nicolo’ Barella maybe only 22 years old but he already has a long track record with the Italian national team. The midfielder fielded questions during today’s press conference at Coverciano, he was asked about how he fits on Roberto Mancini’s squad: ”Do I feel less responsibility here compared to the club level? I feel them at Cagliari because I celebrate wins and suffer after a loss. I’m also someone who gives everything, doesn’t matter if it’s on national team, club or just with friends. I always give my best. We have more experienced players on the national team, who help me and allow me to fulfill my potential”

Considering he has been linked to numerous top clubs, it’s not surprising that Barella was also asked about his future: “I never talked about transfers with the club, at the beginning of the season I vowed to stay until the end of the season. I don’t know what my future holds, my agent handles that. The rumors make me happy, but right now I’m focused on avoiding relegation with Cagliari. Will I be like Riva? I have thought about it. He’s the hero of Sardinian football, but I repeat I don’t know what I’ll do in the future”
