Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone provided some insight on the bitterness of twice being denied Champions League glory. Regarding his future, should he decide to depart Atleti, there were some hints given as well in a radio interview with OndaCero: "Every time I hear the Champions League anthem an immense sadness falls over me, which must be the reason that I want to try to realize this dream. It was so hard going past the Real Madrid fans in Milan, who were celebrating the title. I have lost two Champions League finals and I believe that anybody else in my position would be. I knew that it would get even harder to do it again this season, but I didn't know if I would have enough strength to move ahead and lead the club. Should I leave Madrid? Because of sentimental reasons I will never coach Real Madrid. They probably wouldn't even call, I could move to another team in Spain, not them. I have always been enthralled by the idea of coaching the Argentine national team, but for that I still need to become a better coach."
