Atalanta has raised the bar the season after surprisingly qualifying for the Champions League. In order to keep this positive momentum, the Bergamaschi will have to be able to hold onto their key players- a priority for Giovanni Sartori who oversees the club's sporting area. Sartori recently told Sky Sport that he's working on keeping some of the players on loan:"We have an agreement with Temeze and Pasalic and we're negotiating with Chelsea. We are working on redeeming Pasalic, with Temeze we are looking to extend the loan into next season"
Regarding his stars, Sartori has clear ideas:"Papu, Zapata and Ilicic are untouchable? It's true we have sold a lot, but we also invested just as much. Atalanta's objective is to sell in order to reinforce ourselves, I believe the three tenors will stay in Bergamo for a few more years"
