After the elimination from the Europa League and two back-to-back loss in Serie A, Atalanta seem to be struggling to find their former form, the one that allowed them to get a taste of European football for two season in a row under Gasperini. La Dea will face another difficult opponent in Milan in the next Serie A game. One of the 'ex' of the game, Mario Pasalic, discussed his team's moment and his season at the Rossoneri in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I liked the idea of playin European cups, we all could have had more playing time and visibility. We got knocked out, but we will bounce back. The real Atalanta is the one of the first half against Roma, we just need to be more focused. We work very hard with Gasperini, I am learning to play in a more advanced position".

"Milan? I should have stayed one more year with the Rossoneri, but then they changed the management and made different choices. That's too bad, I thought that it could have been the right club for me. My time at Milan thought me the pressure of playing in an important stadium and helped me to grow as a man". The Croatian also discussed his several loans from Chelsea during the years: "Knowing that you will stay at a club for just one season it's not good for continuity. I'd like to have consistency, so that I can understand if i can become a big club player. Right now I am not".
