Spal striker Mirco Antenucci is enjoying a great season, having scored 8 goals and provided his teammates with 5 assist so far. The Italian forward talked about his time at Leeds in an intervieew with la Gazzetta dello Sport: "In Leeds they feel football like we do in the Southern part of Italy, they have a great passion, despite the club being in the Championship for years. If I had scored 12 goals in my second season, I would have reached an automatic contract extension. I had already scored 8 in December, so the owner of the club Cellino demanded that I could not play anymore. Anyways, I managed to score ten before coming back to Italy". Antenucci commented also on his current club and on the upcoming fixture against top of the league Juventus: "I'm showing that I can still be an important player. I can't look forward to going on the pitch against Juventus. It's great to get to play against amazing players like them. What strikes me the most about them is their will to always win", concludes the 33-year old striker.
