Roma have several important matches remaining on their calendar, apart from facing Liverpool in the Champions League semifinal, the giallorossi are also locked in a battle with Lazio and Inter for the final two spots in Serie A's top four. Ahead of their match with Genoa, the coach, Eusebio Di Francesco spoke about Roma's tie with the rossoblu: "The fans who have an immense love for us and push us always towards victory. It's natural that there is anticipation in the city for the Champions League semifinal, but we must also rise up in other matches. The match with Genoa is critical, because any mistakes we make are very important now. Against Genoa I won't disturb the lineups, because I want the importance of the match to be understood." The coach also responded to several questions about the lineups: "I don't wish to speak about that, but I can say that Dzeko will play tomorrow. Gonalons? He has a lot of quality, when he makes a mistake it becomes very evident, I am asking everyone to support him. Perotti is in doubt, I will evaluate him today, but I think that the wise decision would be to let him rest and then play him against Spal. Manolas is fit, he has come out of a difficult period. Under and Schick together? That's possible, we usually work with a front three, but I like to prepare those things." Lastly, he spoke about El Shaarawy and the likely distraction that the Champions League can provide: "Stephan believes he should be part of the attack, he can definitely be of help behind, but I believe that forwards should be forwards and defenders, defenders. Champions League must not create distractions, each match is its own story."
