Gary Medel, grinta, heart and longs. The former Inter midfielder has given an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport. From Inter to Besiktas, the team where he decided to move last summer and with which he's currently third in the Super Lig, the Turkish league, four points away from Galatasaray who's on top. Many memories for the player who remains bound to his former team, even if he didn't get to win anything in more than 100 played games: "I've given my soul to Inter, I really regret we haven't won a trophy though. I'm sorry because I've dreamed about this shirt since I'm a child and not being able to get the satisfaction to win something with Inter has stayed on my mind".

How does he explain it? "There was too much confusion. It's difficult when there are so many changes in the same time and even for Suning who is on the other side of the world, it would be better with an Italian owner like Moratti".

"So many changes on the bench? A consequence, according to me, from the confusion. This also brings bad results. The best example is Mancini: if even someone like him leaves in August, it means things aren't going well. He's a great coach like Bielsa. In 2015 we were at the first spot in the first part of the season before getting a bad moment: I think we weren't ready to be there on top. This jersey is and wasn't for everyone. Being at Inter also means there's some kind of pressure not easy to handle and the more years without winning go by, the bigger this pressure gets".

From his Inter to the current one, who's fighting for a Champions League spot: "Is it possible? Roma got back together, Lazio isn't out of the race and Milan is getting back. It won't be easy but Inter can't allow to fail again or it would be disastrous. Spalletti is a great coach and has been immediately clear, telling me that he needed players with good passing for his defense and midfield so I would have to evaluate my possibilities. He offered me to try to be his trequartista but I should have adapted and It would have been really difficult".

"I had a lot of opportunities last summer, in Spain and Mexico but this is a great club. Would I get back to Italy? No, no. There's only Inter for me in Serie A. How is the league? I thought it would be easier but the level is really high, there's a lot of concurrence in my team. We could win the league but there are four teams competing for it".
