Thohir appears sufficiently satisfied as Inter grab three golden points versus Torino, allowing de Boer to extend his time at Inter. Thohir spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about his trust on the coach and more:
‘At the management level, Suning and I are focused on improving the financial aspect of the club. It’s early in the season, there is no need to panic. de Boer has our complete trust, but at the same time results are what count in football. It’ll be important to fully recover from this negative phase’.
He reiterates the need for compactness and the importance of standing by de Boer: ‘Contacts with Blanc? We have to stand by de Boer. The players are also guilty of not playing as they should be, but we still have to support them. Football has its highs and lows, and even though like last years the results aren’t coming, we have to keep strong for our objectives. The biggest mistake would be to not make any decision at all. I’m the one who is responsible for the results of this team because I’m the one who makes the calls’.
