Florenzi, the medical staff at Roma: ‘An ACL tear doesn’t seem the likeliest of occurrences’

A lot of pain and fear in Rome for a knee injury that still needs to be fully evaluated. Riccardo Del Vescovo, part of the Roma medical staff, spoke about Alessandro Florenzi and his current injury situation:

‘There was a violent trauma to the posterior part of his left knee, and the player felt a very strong pain that lasted for minutes after. At the moment it’s difficult to make many judgments because the pain alters the perception we have of the situation. The good news is that the knee didn’t swell up too much and that the ligament felt sufficiently stable. Once we get back to Rome we will get all the medical checkups done. The possibility of an ACL tear doesn’t currently seem like the likeliest one’.
