Benevento, signing of former Tottenham player Sandro complete

After a terrible start to the season, Benevento has had a positive spells with back to back wins in Serie A. It seems like the club from Campania will be fighting for safety after all, and they just reinforced by signing former Tottenham, West Brom and Queens Park Ranger man Sandro from Turkish club Antalyaspor. The transfer is for a loan with an obligation to purchase that kicks in depending on Benevento staying in Serie A or the player's number of appearances for the club. If the club remains in Serie B, the player does not have to stay but will have an option to if he prefers. It is a significant signing for Benevento, thanks to the work of the player's agent George Gardi and intermediary, Luca Antonini.
